About the book

Annabeth thought her past was just that: the past. But when the man she believes killed her sister fifteen years ago makes headlines trying to ruin another woman’s life, she can’t help but wish he would pay for Wendy’s death.

As a private investigator, digging up dirt on people was Dean’s job, and there was plenty of dirt surrounding Johnathan Cassidy. From fraud, to embezzlement, to attempted murder, he and his colleagues had gathered enough information to lock the man up for a long, long time. But one thing stuck out: what really happened to Johnathan’s high school girlfriend, Wendy? Looking for answers, Dean tracks down her younger sister Annabeth.

As they dig deeper, they find themselves entangled in a web of secrets and danger. Amidst the chase for answers, they fall for each other. But will their budding romance survive the sinister forces that will stop at nothing to keep the past buried?
